A tiny amount of Botox™ is injected into the muscle underneath the unwanted wrinkle. The procedure is not painful with most people comparing it to the sensation of a bug bite. Some patients may experience some slight bruising at the injection site. This is temporary and can be easily covered with makeup. Following the procedure, most normal activities can be resumed immediately.
The effects of Botox™ generally last about three to four months at which point another injection can be administered. The effects of successive treatments are generally known to last longer.
